FAQ

Click the questions below to reveal the answer to each question.

[divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″]

[toggles][toggle title=”How much walking is involved on the tour? Will there be places to sit down?” color=”Extra-Color-2″]

Each food tour features approximately 1.5 miles of leisurely walking. This isn’t a forced march, and in some establishments you will be able to sit down for a few minutes, but you will want to wear comfortable walking shoes as cobblestones, stairs, and hills are sometimes part of the route.

[/toggle][toggle title=”How much food will be served?” color=”Extra-Color-2″]

We hesitate to call the various samples of delectables the equivalent of a meal, but it would be unlikely that a guest would walk away from our tours hungry.

[/toggle][toggle title=”What if it rains?” color=”Extra-Color-2″]

The tour will go on, rain or shine. Please bring an umbrella and a cheery attitude. We’ll do the same. If severe weather forces us to cancel a tour, we will notify you in advance and either refund your money or reserve you a spot on a future tour.

[/toggle][toggle title=”Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?” color=”Extra-Color-2″]

Unfortunately, we cannot. Some routes suit vegetarians better than others. Call or email for information.

[/toggle][toggle title=”Can I get a refund of my tickets?” color=”Extra-Color-2″]

Once purchased, tickets cannot be refunded because we have reserved space for you on the tour and with the restaurants.

[/toggle][toggle title=”Should I tip the tour guide?” color=”Extra-Color-2″]

Tipping the tour guide is always appreciated but never expected.

[/toggle][toggle title=”Do you offer private group tours?” color=”Extra-Color-2″]

We sure do, for a minimum of 8 people. Call or email us for rates. We offer our typical food tours for your corporate outing or group, depending on group size, and we also offer Off the Eatin’ Path: Richmond’s Riverfront for groups as small as 8 and as large as 40 that includes lunch or dinner at a Shockoe Slip spot. RVA Ink: Imprint & Impact, is all about creativity and innovation and includes lunch or dinner. We’re happy to customize tours to fit your group’s needs. Capital of the Confectionery, anyone?!
